People in Research is the National Institute for Health and Care Research website used to promote opportunities for patients, service users, carers and members of the public to get involved in health and care research. This website was set up for use across research systems across the UK. Researchers looking to involve these groups in their work and Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) professionals can post their involvement opportunities on this site, and those interested in getting involved can search for the opportunities that interest them.
The original development of People in Research, in 2007, was led by INVOLVE on behalf of the UK Clinical Research Collaboration. Members of the public were involved in most stages of the site’s development – project steering group, site design, content and information architecture.
We want to continue to improve the site so please use the feedback to tell us what you think.
